The history of Cantine Capetta is one of dedication, entrepreneurship, and attention to quality. The authentic wines of Piedmont come from one of the most important and high quality wine growing regions in the world with renowned grape varieties and famous wines. Founded by Francesco Capetta in 1953, Cantine Capetta has never stopped growing and expanding its horizons.
Cantine Capetta conquered the Italian market in the 1990s by being attentive to change yet always rooted in the territory but with a vision to expand abroad. The company is well established and consistently successful in its pursuit of quality. Despite its size, the Capetta family continues to apply the same philosophies and control which has driven their success and continue to meet the challenges of modern business and distribution.

Since 1953 Cantine Capetta has been an integral part of one of the most prestigious wine growing areas in the world and as a result produce high quality wines. Our extensive in-depth knowledge and experience of the territory allows each bottle to provide an authentic expression of the Piedmont hills. Cantine Capetta works as one big family with over 170 passionate winemakers providing grapes from more than 250 hectares of vineyards. These relationships have been founded on friendship, trust, and partnership which has been fundamental in allowing them to consistently producing quality wines. From the fields, to production and distribution, the Capetta family has successfully and consistently managed the process from vine to the glass.

Cantine Capetta is committed to protecting the Earth’s natural resources through concrete actions promoting environmental sustainability. In 2004, it was the first company in Piedmont to obtain the ISO14001 certification which attests the company's effort to plan and monitor a constant reduction of its impact on the environment.

Cantine Capetta has always invested in technologies designed to reduce waste from raw materials, water and electricity. The entire company is powered by renewable sources that are certified 100% Green Energy. Particular attention is paid to recover excess heat from refrigeration units, which do not use CFC gas; reduce waste, cut the usage of diatomaceous earth for wine filtration and implement good practices, such as urging staff to eliminate the use of plastic bottles and encouraging them to utilize systems that purify and produce drinking water.
